Last July, Alejandro Pérez-Ferrant, CEO, and María Redondo, Co-founder of The Blueroom Project, travelled to Thailand to attend TATAP 2027 (Tourism Authority of Thailand Action Plan 2027), the annual gathering organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), where the main strategic lines shaping the country’s tourism development for the coming year are debated and presented.
The event was held in Bangkok, with sessions at the Grand Centre Point Lumpini Hotel and subsequent activities at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, where TAT unveiled its action plan for 2027, based on a strategy focused on higher-quality, sustainable and resilient tourism: “Value over Volume”.
TATAP 2027 brought together the leading representatives of Thailand’s tourism ecosystem, consolidating its position as one of the most relevant strategic meetings in the sector. The opening session featured the participation of the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Surasak Phancharoenworakul, and the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thapanee Kiatphaibool, alongside senior executives responsible for marketing, international markets, digital innovation and product development. In addition, TAT’s regional and international offices took part, together with key players from the country’s private tourism industry, including airports, tour operators, hotel and resort chains, attractions, and companies specialising in wellness and experiences.
The Blueroom Project’s participation in this meeting provided first-hand insight into the destination’s strategic vision and the initiatives that will define its international promotion in the coming years. Another highlight of the trip was the opportunity to discover new hotels, resorts and tourism experiences, as well as to meet numerous partners in person.
These encounters enable The Blueroom Project to expand its network of contacts and continue identifying opportunities that add value to Thailand’s tourism.
