Launch of JNTO Office in Spain and annual media relations
CHALLENGE
In 2017, Japan National Tourism Office opens its branch in Madrid. On the occasion of this opening, the main challenges to be achieved in communications is promoting the existence of the tourism office and promoting the country within the Spanish market, supporting not only the main Japanese destinations, but also new innovative touristic proposal in the Asian country.
SOLUTION
As their communications agency, The Blueroom Project designed an action plan which combined a diversity of Public Relations activities and managing the daily relationship with the key media in Spain.
The agency has managed the organisation of different special event, highlighting the opening of the office, which was attended by over 200 guests, including distinguished politicians and representatives from the touristic sector.
RESULTS
Over 1,300 clippings per year and an advertising value above 5M euros.
Over 100 journalists have been trained by JNTO in press trips and seminars.
2019 record year with more than 130.000 Spaniards travelling to Japan (+9.5% against 2018)
