Oman took part on March 26 in the inaugural edition of aMICEing Top Destinations, a new event format created by MeetIN Events to present the MICE offerings of various destinations in a more experiential way. The gathering, held in Madrid, brought together more than one hundred industry professionals and served as a strategic showcase to strengthen the Sultanate’s visibility among key stakeholders in the sector.

Representing Experience Oman in Spain, Rocío Paleari from The Blueroom Project presented the destination’s value proposition within a programme designed to break away from traditional tourism-promotion formats. Alongside other national and international destinations, Oman participated in a staged presentation of its local values to foster a meaningful connection with attendees.

Oman’s participation in the event provided an opportunity to highlight to the Spanish market several of the country’s key attributes as a prime MICE destination, as well as to reassure attendees of its stability and reputation as a safe passage within the region. Attention was also drawn to the country’s current infrastructure and upcoming developments, such as the new Hilton Muscat Convention & Exhibition Centre, joining the JW Marriott, the Crowne Plaza, and the soon-to-open Waldorf Astoria in Oman and how these assets further strengthen its position as a premium destination for this segment. This offering is complemented by a geography that seems tailor-made for the MICE sector.

In a context where the MICE industry increasingly seeks destinations capable of providing robust infrastructure and cultural depth, Oman is actively positioning itself as a destination with a strong identity, fully equipped to meet the demands of corporate travel.

The aMICEing Top Destinations format, designed around the active participation of attendees, proved a major success, featuring dynamic activities and fostering an ideal environment for networking. Through this involvement, Oman continues to reinforce its presence in the Spanish market, building closer ties with industry professionals and advancing its strategy to position itself as a distinctive, competitive, and high-potential MICE destination.
