The destination of Madeira has been awarded “Best European Destination” in the 3rd edition of the Viajes National Geographic Readers’ Awards, a recognition granted through public voting that further consolidates Madeira’s position as a leading European destination, known for its uniqueness and excellence.
This award highlights the island’s natural beauty, cultural richness, and outstanding year-round tourism offering. Madeirais a place where tradition and modernity coexist in harmony—featuring volcanic landscapes, scenic hiking trails, exceptional cuisine, and a distinct sense of hospitality.
In addition to the destination’s award, Madeira also stood out in the hospitality category: The Reserve, part of the Madeiran hotel group Savoy Signature, was named “Best International Hotel”. This exclusive property, located within the luxurious Savoy Palace, offers a boutique concept that combines privacy and personalised service with a premium experience tailored to the most discerning travellers.
At The Blueroom Project, as the communications agency representing Turismo de Madeira in Spain, we are pleased to celebrate this recognition, which reflects the destination’s continued commitment and ongoing efforts to promote responsible and authentic tourism.
