Costa Rica will be the main sponsor of the first Agora of Sustainable Tourism, to be organised by the tourism media Hosteltur on October 5 in Barcelona. Costa Rica stands out for being one of the pioneering destinations worldwide for its protection and respect for the environment, in fact, it has implemented sustainability in an integral way, in the socio-cultural, environmental, and economic field, which has allowed tourism to be a dynamic activity of the national economy. Costa Rica can proudly state that it offers more than 6.5% of the world’s biodiversity and has 28% of the world’s protected areas. But it also boasts very important values when it comes to choosing a tourist destination, such as hospitality, safety and education.
The 1st GREEN & HUMAN – HOSTELTUR SUSTAINABLE TOURISM AGORA has been created as a meeting point for companies and destinations, as a forum for reflection in which some of the initiatives that are already being carried out between all of them and that are already a lever for transformation, will also be presented.
