CHALLENGE
Positioning Costa Rica in markets of interest in the medium term as a distinguished, diverse and peaceful tourist destination, a leader in sustainability and suitable to be visited throughout the year.
SOLUTION
The Blueroom Project provides a full range of services for Costa Rica Tourism, including PR services, marketing campaigns in trade relations, tourism fairs and digital campaigns.
The whole strategy was focused on four key aspects: to inform, to educate, to inspire and to create new content to show the wide variety of the destination beyond the nature paradise image of Costa Rica, in addition to other niches such as wellness, luxury or rural tourism, among others.
RESULTS
European tourism to Costa Rica has increased significantly for three consecutive years: 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. As a result of our efforts Costa Rica is disseminated through more tan 4,000 high-quality annual press clippings in Europe for an AVE value of more tan 22.5 million euros. Introduction of new products and professional partners in different European markets, including new destinations, air connectivity and tourism experiences for specific niches.

Tourist Excellence Award 2019 and 2020.
Award for the Best International Pavilion at Fitur 2020 and for the Best Sustainable Pavilion at Fitur 2021.
Costa Rica opened to international tourism during Covid-19 pandemic in August 2020, being a global success story, having recovered more than 30% of its visitors in April 2021.
